Liberation Weekend Airs On KBOO
It’s being called the greatest ra
dio event o f the year. “ Afrikan Men
tal Liberation W eekend" is coming
to KBOO 90.7 FM
The station will carry two days
o f public affairs programming on the
academic, spiritual and cultural is
sues from the African and African-
American perspective. The broad
casts will run from 9 a.m. to midnight
both Saturday and Sunday, March
18-19.
Dr. Kwaku Person-Lynn will
serve as host and program producer.
Lynn is a nationally recognized schol
ar in the field o f history and African
culture.
Fred Hembry is executive pro
ducer in charge o f the national broad
cast in Portland.
The promoters said the broad
cast will deal with the Apartheid,
poverty, self-hate driven crimes, di
vided leadership and most awful,
critically low self-esteem suffered
by pan Africans.
“These phenomena are further

compounded by a vacuum in the
realm o f Afrikan history, culture and
its value system. Abatement and sub
sequent elimination ofthis genocidal
trek can be primarily achieved by
one item only: knowledge and self,"
the promoters said.
Christoper Williams’ newest album “Not a Perfect Man, ” reveals
that he has learned a lot since he made his last record. His image
as a sexy hip-hop crooner may always be with him, but
Christoper in his latest work he introduces us to the heart behind
the voice and face
