Laura Harrison was one of the
many enthusiastic students attending
Judah Educational Center this sum
mer completing a year’s curriculum
in mathematics in two weeks of con
centrated study. Harrison completed
10 chapters of algebra during the
period. Other students took various
courses in math and language.
“Laura’s tenacity and intense
motivation to excel in mathematics
was simply remarkable,” quoted her
teacher Mr. Franks. “She sometimes
wouldn't even take a lunch break,
even though I insisted that she should.
I have always insisted that my stu
dents work hard to learn all that they
can, but I never push them beyond
their individual capabilities.”
A second session of classes is
offered this summer. Call 281-2393
for more information.
Judah Educational Center is a
community-based school designed to
promote academic excellence, self
pride, and cultural values in a climate
of mutual respect and trust.
