Gentlemen:
You are invited to bid on a General Contract, including
Mechanical and Electrical work, for ROYAL ARMS RE­
PLACEMENT SHELTER PROJECT. All bids will be on a
lump sum basis; segregated bids will not be accepted.
Sealed bids will be received by the Vancouver Housing
Authority at 500 Omaha Way, Vancouver, Washington by
2:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Savings Time on the ninth (9th) day
of September 1993 and publicly read aloud Immediately after
the closing time for their receipt, at which time and place all
Interested persons are entitled to attend the bid opening.
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Camas, Office of
the Finance Department, 616 NE 4th Avenue, Camas,
Washington, until 2:00 P.M., on September 7 ,1 9 9 3 and will
then and there be publicly read for the construction of the
improvement.
All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal
deposit In cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety
bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount
of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidders fail to
enter Into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance
bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid
proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Camas.

The work consists of improving approximately 0.85 miles of
rural roadway, to include asphalt concrete preleveling, as­
phalt concrete pavement overlay, regrade existing shoulder
and ditches, beveled culvert sections, shoulder rock, guard­
rail, pavement markings, permanent signing, and other re­
lated items.
The City of Camas reserves the right to reject any or all
proposals if found to be higher than the estimated cost and
to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the
Interest of the City.

Up to two (2) sets of Contract Documents will be Issued to
Prime Bidders upon Deposit of $50.00 per set; deposits will
be refunded if sets are returned In good condition, within
seven (7) days after bid opening. Deposit will be refunded to
the successful bidder after award of the Contract. Prime

Request For Proposal
The Department of Revenue, Migration Project, is seeking a
firm to construct and test two systems: 1) an automated
collection and tracking system, and 2) a business name and
address and payroll tax return processing system. These
systems must Integrate to an accounting system being built for
operation on an IBM AS/400, using the CASE tool Synon.
The systems should be constructed, tested and implemented
on a schedule beginning October 18, 1993 with Phased
completion dates from April 1, 1994 through June 1, 1994.

Sealed bids will be received at the Housing Authority of
Portland (HAP), 8910 N. Woolsey Avenue, Portland, Or­
egon, 97203 until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 16,1993
for labor and materials to make piping repairs at an existing
apartment project. Shortly thereafter, bids will be opened
and publicly read. Interested parties are welcome to attend.
The basic work consists of demolition and removal of exist­
ing domestic water piping and hot water boilers and replace­
ment with new piping and gas water heaters at Holgate
House Apartments, 4601 S.E. 39th, Portland, Oregon.
Interested bidders may obtain one set of bid documents at
the HAP Maintenance Office, noted above, upon receipt of
$50 (fifty) deposit, which is refundable when documents are
returned In good condition within 10 days after bid opening.
Additional sets may be acquired for a $20 (twenty) non-
refundable fee.
A HAP representative will conduct a pre-bid tour of the
project commencing at the HAP Maintenance Office, ad­

Metro hereby requests statements of qualifications, work
plans and other materials from planners, engineers or econo­
mists, in a required format. Two separate, but related Re­
quest for Proposals (RFP) are now being distributed. One
RFP, Creating and Using Descriptive Indicators, is in­
tended to assist Metro with the evaluation of regional growth
alternatives. The other RFP, Growth Analysis, Is Intended
to considerthe consequences of changlnq the rate of growth
In the region. A consultant or team of consultants may
choose to propose on one or both requests.
