Robin Broadous
It’s great when your wishes come
true, and that’s what happened to Robin
Broadous. A mother o f four, success,
determination and desire were the main
components to her current success. A
native o f Portland, Oregon and a gradu
ate o f Lincoln High School, Robin took
ler son M aurice, 13, and her daughter
Sicole, 10, to a talent competition at
Vlall 205 were she was approched by
the casting director. He wanted to see if
she would be interested in a part. A l
though Robin d id n ’t get that particular
part, she was selected as an extra. Robin
decided to enroll in Film and C om m er
cial c la sse s a t P o rtla n d C ivic
rheatre.D edicated and determined,
iobin found everything after the classes
to be amazing! After a year she has been
in various com m ericals, (such as Apple
lacks and Mazda) films and more, Ap
pearing in Les Schwab commericals
with her family was a treat for her.

W hat is needed in our community is
taking the challenge to overcome ad
versity and become a power. O ur m i
nority businesses need to step it up another
level instead o f taking the plunge.
Since Sept. 1990, R obin’s life has
changed. The kids active as mom, are
also in acting. M aurice, 13, Nicole, 10,
Erica, 5, and Michael. Robin is an
em ployee at Voit Temporary Service in
Beaverton (Technical D epartment Per
sonnel). She enjoys dancing, hiking and
walking. The Broadous family should
be contended for their outstanding ef
forts. More families need to instill the
determination to succeed: it takes a lot
of hard work but it’s really worth it.
You can catch Robin in an upcom
ing film (The Favor) which premieres in
O ctober o f 1991, and also in The Marla
Hanson Story. Congratulations, Robin,
y o u ’re one to be recognized in your
community and throughout the entire
United States.
