The C ity o f Salem invites proposals from qualified consultants to
provide engineering design and construction services for the N O R TH
R IV E R R O A D D IV E R S IO N STRUCTURE PROJECT. The engineer­
ing design task w ill include, but not be lim ited to, geotechnical studies,
engineering design, preparation o f specifications fo r C ity prepurchased
equipment, preparation o f bid documents (plans, special provisions,
and cost estimate) that w ill be used in contracting the construction phase
o f this project. The engineering construction tasks w ill include, but not
be lim ite d to, review and approval o f submittals and shop drawings,
periodic inspections, review and approval o f change orders, Operation
and Maintenance Manual, and as-built drawings. This project includes
a new diversion structure, m odifications to the existing diversion
structure, approxim ately 100 feet o f new 72-inch interceptor w ith
connection to existing 72-inch interceptor, approxim ately 20 feet o f
new 12-inch sanitary sewer and manhole, emergency generator, new
access roadand parking lot modifications, lig h tin g , security chain lin k
fence, instrumentation and control system, and electrical.

party subm itting the RFP response to ensure that theresponse is received
at the designated location on or before the deadline.
The proposals received w ill be held confidential u ntil award or recom­
mendation fo r award has been approved by the C ity Manager. Thereaf­

required for this project.
The C ity w ill be the sole judge in determining award o f contract and
reserves the rig ht to reject all proposals. Any objections to or comments

professional planning services to assist M etro in preparing a model solid
waste fa c ility siting ordinance. The ordinance must have clear and
objective standards fo r concluding whether a proposal fo r a solid waste
fa c ility may be be approved.

construction o f M odifications to the M etro South Transfer Station,
located at the intersection o f H ighw ay 213 and Washington Street in the

The Oregon Economic Development Department (O ED D ) is coordinat­
ing a jo in t e ffo rt to assess training needs in the state's prim ary metals
industry. O E D D seeks a consultant w ith a related technical background
and industry experience to conduct that assessment. The contractor w ill
interview several key personnel at firm s o f different size, organize and
analyze responses, and produce a report and summary.
