Perform public information duties for
more than 40 active projects as part

economic developm ent and hous­
ing activities. Serve as primary

media. Initiate story ideas, features,
position papers and news releases.
Highly desired is the ability to write
tight copy and edit under deadline
pressure. Experience in speech
writing is a plus. Successful candi­
date m ust possess proven ability to
establish effective media relations
with a record o f high quality com ­
munications work. Position will also
serve as staff to a new public/pri-
vate sector PR network which pro­
motes Portland nationally for busi­
ness and investments. Minimum
qualifications include five years of
