FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE CENTRAL LIBRARY
AND ALTERATION OF A TEMPORARY FACILITY
The C ily of Salem Public Library is seeking proposals from qualified
firms for the architectural and design services required to expand the Central
Library and to alter a temporary site from which the Central Library will
operate during the construction phase of the expansion project.
The request for proposal documents are available from the office of the
City of Salem Purchasing Supervisor, City Hall, Room 315,555 Liberty St.
S.E., Salem, OR 97301, telephone (503) 588-6136 weekdays between the
hours of 8.00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Proposals will be received until 11 :(X) a.m. (local time) Friday, July 14,
1989 at the City Recorder’s’ Office, room 205, City Hall, 555 Liberty St.'
S.E. Salem, Oregon 97301. Proposals that are received after the closing
lime, for any reason, will not be accepted. Delivery to an office other than
the oil ice identified above is not acceptable.
A MANDATORY pre-proposal conference will be held on June 30,

OR 97217. Work to be performed includes demolition of existing concrete
walks and paving, removal of abandoned sprinkler system and specified
utilities, site grading and drainage, new construction of walks and patios,
exterior lighting, landscape planting with irrigation, and site furnishings.
