Paris Texas High School Reunion More than 600 former residents of Paris, Texas returned for the Gibbons High School Reunion, July 4 through 6 Meetings, dinners and other active ties were scheduled so that former school mates could visit, renew friend ships, recall old times and memories at Gibbons High. On Sunday, July 6, church services were held at the Paris Junior College, to accommodate the large attendance Some of the visitors attended their former churches to worship with family and friends The following Portland, Oregon residents traveled to Texas for the re union: Mr. Lonny Wilson, Mrs Mary G. A Raisin In The Sun The American classic, "A Raisin In The Sun," by Lorraine Hansberry, winner of the 1959 New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play, previews on July 23rd and 24th, and opening night, with champaign recep tion, will be Friday, July 25th. The play will run Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8:00 p.m and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. at the New Rose Theatre, 904 S .W Main Street, Portland. After its final performance at The New Rose on August 30th, it will move to the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center, 5340 N Interstate, Portland, for three shows on September 5th through 7th. Recent Reagan Administration appointments in the Seattle Region X office put action to the words "Equal Opportunity Employer." Appointees, all minorities, have responsibility for HUD operations throughout Alaska. Oregon, Idaho, and Washington — and all bear the title of "first.” Oh, yes -there is one other "first " HUD Regional Administrator, William Y Nishimura, was the only federal official on the West Coast to receive a Distinguished Executive Award from the President of the United States. Ronald Reagan, December 1985 for superior performance in managing HUD's Region X operations. W e think there is a "difference" at HUD. Don't you?
