EXAMINATION BOARD
The T ru ile c i o f the College Hoard incite applications and
nominations tor the position o f President o f the College Hoard
The College Hoard is a national, n o n -p ro fit association o f
more than 2 ,5 0 0 colleges and universities, secondary schools,
school systems, and education associations and agencies. The
College Board offers admissions testing, needs analysis tor finan­
cial aid applications, and guidance, placement, and c re d it-b y -
exam ination services to assist students making the transition
from high school to college.
The President is the chief executive officer o f the College
Hoard, oversees the work o f a staff o f about 100, and is princi­
pal advisor to its Board o f Trustees The level o f responsibility
and compensation is comparable to that o f President o f a major
university.
The President's charge includes trading the College Hoard and
also strengthening education generally. Ac. otd in g ly. the Trustees
seek candidates w ith exceptional leadership qualities and com­
prehensive knowledge ot educational issues. Requisites include
uncom m on skills in management and com m unication, under
standing o f needs o f schools and colleges for College Board ser
vices, and the ability to work effectively w ith constituen. tes that
