Five successful applicants will attend a tw o-hour weekly class Wednesday mornings and work an additional four to six hours each week on the KWX) News. The purpose of the class is to train reporters and editors for the KH(X) News. The classes will cover writing for radio, radio production, the law and the media, interviewing, freelanc ing to national news organizations and more. Applicants must be able to type, have a broad knowledge of news, strong w riting skills, a flexible schedule and be willing to work cooperatively in a hectic environment under deadline pressure. In addition, anyone accepted into the program must make a firm com m itm ent to complete the internship and become a member of the KB(X) Foundation.
