VANN DIRECTOR FUNERAL COST PREPAYM ENT I f you wish, you may choose not to do anything at all about prepay ing your funeral expenses. Let the money come out o f your estate s assets when you die. I f it's obvious that there will be money in your es tate— in the form o f savings, insur ance, cashable stocks or bonds, or other liquid assets— that’ s probab ly all the protection your survivor needs. The money you would otherwise tie up for funeral pay ments could be invested or put into savings instead. The disadvantage o f this course is that your estate may never be so ¡e as to cover the funeraUosis Jar|e adequately. Another possibility is ihat even if you are well o ff now, your financial fortunes may change to such a degree that (here won't be much money in the estate when you die. In such cases, your survivors would be under great f i nancial strain to meet the cost of your funeral and burial. It may re quire going into insurance money or other resources more urgently needed to live on.
