P o rtla n d G en eral E lec tric C o . and Pacific Power and Light Co. re cently presented T h e S a lv a tio n A rm y w ith seed m o n ey— $ 7 5 ,0 0 0 apiece— for “ Project H E L P ." Both • utilities will ask the public to volun tarily contribute matching funds to help pay the energy costs o f low -in come households this winter. I f both grants are maximized by pub lic d o n atio n s , up to $ 3 0 0 ,0 0 0 will be available through the service. The agreement with P P & L term i nates M ay 15, 1983. The PGE agree ment terminates July I , 1983.
