Fever, fever, fever The title o f Hamilton Bohannon's latest album is Ho hannon Fever and its highly contagious Bohannon "b e a t" is spreading across the nation in epidemic pro portions. The distinctive symptoms are infectious funk- saturated vocals, hard driving drums, heavy bottom bass runs and an uncontrollable urge to move your feet. There is no cure for Bohannon Fever, so the prescribed treatment is to let it run its course and simply "P a rty Down." 'Dark Shadows' returns Just Friends Columbia recording artist Johnny Mathis, who recently celebrated his 25th year in show business, took time o ff from his busy performance sche dule for an interview in New York with WBLS program director Frankie Crocker. The two discussed Johnny’s latest Columbia album, Friends In Love, titled after his smash single duet with Dionne Warwicke; as well as Johnny's much-anticipated, upcoming 4-mght stand at Radio City Music Hall. The Police Are Here The Police attacked the international rock scene in 1977 with an impres sive debut e ffo rt—a certified gold album with a hit single, "Roxanne," all for an unheard o f $6,000 production budget. Since then the group has re leased the previous one and adding to the list o f hits with such songs as "Message in a Bottle," “ Don't Stand So Close to Me.” and “ Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic.” The Police will be at the Memorial Coliseum. The program is scheduled to premiere September 6th, and w ill air Monday through Friday fo llo w in g ABC late-night programming on Channel Two. "D a rk Shadows” is television’ s only series that follow s in the tra d itio n o f the classic G othic suspense novel. The setting is a small fishing village, hidden in the cliffs o f the rugged Maine seacoast. Collinwood, the brooding family mansion, is a home o f dark mysteries and intrigue. Within its halls stalk tormented residents of the estate . . . ghosts, witches, werewolves . . . held captive by spells reaching out from the depths o f time. The program shifts in time from the 20th to the 18th century and tells the bizarre story o f the C ollins fam ily ancestors. W ith this shift in tim e, many o f the stars are seen in dual rolls. The series stars Jonathan Frid as Barnabas C o llin s, the 175- year-old resident vampire; Joan Bennett as Elizabeth C ollins Stoddard and Naomi C ollins; Alexandra M o ltk c as V ictoria Winers and a suspected w itch; Louis Edmonds as Roger Collins and Joshua C o llin s; Nancy Barrett as Carolyn Stoddard and M illice nt C ollins; and Grayson H all as Dr. Julia H offm an and Natalie. "D a r k Shadows” o rig in a lly premiered on ABC Television in 1968 and was on the air for five years. The series was one o f the highest rated in the history o f daytime television.
