I t ’s a peach o f a shortcake!
We think you’ ll agree that this is a
real peach o f a shortcake. Why?
First, because Peach Pecan Short
cake takes great advantage o f fresh
peaches. And i t ’ s also a peach be
cause it ’s made so easily.
This double-decker delight is pre
pared from Aunt Jemima Complete
Pancake and Waffle Mix, a product
which already contains enriched
flour, vegetable shortening, leaven
ing, egg, nonfat dry milk and salt.
You’ll find it a shortcut to shortcake
that doesn't sacrifice that old-
fashioned good fla vo r. You only
need to add sugar, butter and water
for a golden brown shortcake you’ ll
long remember.
When Peach Pecan Shortcake
comes from the oven, let it cool five
minutes. Slice it in half horizontally,
f ill it w ith fresh peach slices (or
canned ones) and replace the top.
Then you’re ready to cut it into serv
ing pieces.
F inally, top each piece with
whipped topping, sprinkle w ith
chopped nuts and drizzle with the
crowning glory, syrup. Dazzling!
As we say, it’s a peach o f a short
cake!
