If your power went out during the recent tree-toppling wind
storm, we appreciate your putting up with the inconvenience until
we got the lights back on. Thanks for your patience.
Near-hurricane winds swept from California to Idaho
blacking out power to over 100,000 Pacific Power customers, homes
and businesses.
But with round-the-clock help from line crews who came from
as tar away as Wyoming, we were able to restore electric service as
quickly as possible.
If this wind storm caught you off guard, here are some tips in
case we ever have another one.
K
1 • Call us and tell us your power s out. Give your name, address
and any information about the problem. If our phones busy, please
keep trying. Listen on a battery powered radio For current
information.
2. Keep your porch light switch on. This helps utility crews
know whether the power s on in a neighborhood.
3. For long outages, turn off circuit breakers or fuses to major
re s to re d ^
contro,s to Prevent problems when service is
i i 1 kC Hghi? a i e dim whei? P°wer comes back, keep circuits
described above off. This means there s still trouble. Call Pacific
Power right away.
