Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will ba held by tha Tri-County
Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (Tri-M at) at tha Water
Services Building Auditorium, 1800 S.W. Sixth Avenue, Portland, Oregon,
at 10:00 a m.. Monday, October 26, 1961, for tha purpose of conaidering
projects for which operating asaistanca is being sought from tha Urban
Mass Transportation Administration, under Section 18 of the Urban Maas
Transportation Act of 1964. as amended
The project will, through subcontracted services, supply approximately
23,706 one-way rides for residents of rural Clackmas, Multnomah, and
Washington Counties not served by the regular Tri-Met bus system during
FY 81 -82. The total project cost is 1154,100 of which 477,050 would ba
federal funds and 477,050 is local match. This project is included in the
Transportation Improvement Program and will be in the annual element for
FY 82. No persons, families or businesses will be displaced by this project
and there will be no impact on the environment.
The Howard Univarsity Choir adds its voica to tha Solidarity Day

The project includes a total of nine (9) vehicles with lifts, radios and fare
boxes and one (1 ) repeater to be used for transportation in the rural areas of
Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington Counties. The total project cost is
$141,000 of which $112,800 would be federal funds and 428,200 is local
match.
