Frederick, w hile attending school, has w o rke d at Providence H o s p ita l as a licensed p ra ctica l nurse fo r the past ten years. A n d as the m other o f three teenage boys, had th is to say about the educational system. " T h e e d u c a tio n a l system is te r r ib le . F ro m m y s ta n d p o in t (student) i t ’ s a little d iffe re n t, but as fa r as the kids go - the cu rric u lu m is b a d . T h e re s h o u ld be m o re e m phasis p la ce d on re a d in g , w r itin g and a rith m e tic. The kids are allowed to choose to o m any subjects. T h a t w ay, they w ill learn things th a t w ill be b e n e fic ia l in s te a d o f n o n e a p plicable things. R eagan’ s p ro p o se d budget cuts, s o c ia l a n d e d u c a tio n a l ones to o , e licite d a strong response fro m her.
