Bobby Stevens and “ Swcct“ Louis Smith, along with Sonny Charles, make
up the Checkmates. When you watch these gents doing their thing on stage, it ’ s
very easy to get caught in the excitment they can generate on stage.
Most o f their selections were taken from their latest album entitled “ We Got
The Moves” . Tunes included: “ Take A ll The Time You Need” , “ Let’s Do It” ,
Sunshine After The Storm” , “ Loving You A Lifetime” and, my favorite,
'Falling In Love” . You’ ll be glad to add this one to your collection. I t ’s
mellow. The lyrics, arrangements and orchestrations are exceptional.
