Look to the stars and dream o f diamonds, but let’s open our eyes and realize that we who are in Albina and the surrounding communities are sitting on gold mines. We have an o p p o rtu n ity to change your economic destiny. The time is now to look to ourselves for true economic value. Only then w ill we change the pathway o f rejection to one of accep tance. A ll 51,000 white students w ill have classroom contact with white teachers. The Portland Public School Trans portation Advisory Committee met September 26th in the Board Room. Three people attended the meeting (excluding administrators and the Advisory Committee). Ms. Geneva Jones is excited about winning a silver metal award for out standing service achievements from the Portland Women’ s Advertising Club, a branch o f the American Federation o f Women’s Advertising Clubs. This was the fifth time the award had been given in the 61 year history o f the Portland Branch.
