The non violent act of civil disobedience, in the tradition of Ghandi and Martin Luther King, is an effort to bring the publics attention to the nuclear risks. The occupation will be preceded with a Hiroshimi Day “ Rally for Survival” on Saturday, August 5th, at noon, at Waterfront Park. The Fellowship o f Reconciliation will hold an anti-war/anti-nuke poetry reading at the Waterfront Park boat landing at 9:30 a.m. During the Trojan occupation, a vigil will be held in front of the PGE offices. FOR will also sponsor workshop/ discussion groups at the Postal & Building, S.W. 3rd and Washington, at 7:30 p .m . August 7th — “ Hiroshima to T ro ja n ” ; August gth — “ The Nukes are Costing You Plenty” ; August 9th — “ The Nukes and Your Health” . On August 9th, thirty-three years after the bombing of Nagasaki, a “ die-in” will be held at Schrunk Plaza, between the Federal Building and City Hall. On each day, August 6th through 9th. members of the Trojan Decom missioning Alliance will move to block the gates to the Trojan plant. All persons who participate in this action, which in the past has led to their arrest, must take part in training in non-violence. Workshops are held on Saturdays and Mondays (231-0014).
