Someone
should have reminded Jack Ramsey, or
whomever in the Blazer organization that
bulls are not particularly happy at the
sight a t red. B at. anyway. Portland did
have the audaatv to show up at Chicago
Stadium before 22.000 screaming Bull
fa«.« w earing <rf all things th eir travelling
red uniforms. Not only w ere the Bulls
enraged, but their fans also, as witnessed
by the harsh treatm ent Portland received
from both. I t was quite scary when late
in the game with tempers flying and
Herm Gilliam and W ilb ur Holland en
gaged in fistcuffs. and 22.000 Bullish fans
seemed an the verge of attacking M aurice
Lucas.
But things settled down and
Chicago prevailed u a tough, tough
game.
I t should be mentioned that
Portland fell victim to some sturdy
officiating.
Chicago woe the game, although the
Blazers scored eight more field goals than
the Bulls. That should tell you some
thing.
N ot until the final game in
Portland was the foul situations even

I predicted Portland 2-1
over Chicago: and also had Golden State
winning over D e tro it.
That D etro it vs. Goiden State senes
was topsv tu rvv from the beginning and I
must admit after D e tro it won that first
game I thought Goiden State was doom

Robin Jones has been so dependable

the Chicago game.
W ith the score
see-sawing, and Blazer playoff fortunes
still hanging, and Portland leading 97-92,
Robin fired in a fifteen footer th at was
indeed crucial. But the young man has
played with poise and confidence when
