The 47 year old Myers, a former insurance executive, is a charter member of the lam bda Chi Alpha chapter at the University of Oregon in Eugene. The campaign committee recently learned that Fred Halstead, an international leader of the anti Vietnam war movement and well known Socialist speaker, will be in town to appear at the rally. He will present the major address of the evening. At the banquet and rally, plans will be announced to kick off the final two weeks of campaigning.
