not feel the organized women's
vote w ill make a noticeable
difference in this election, she
views the organization of the
National Women's P olitical
Caucus to he significant fo r the
future, ami that women's par
ticipation in government w ill
grow. She encourages women
to become active in politics

Stranger,” was Miss Mannes'
firs t book. Itwaspublishedby
Viking in 1948 and since re is
sued as a paperback. Tw ocol-

been published, and a tele
vision documentary, “ Guests
on This Planet,’ was broad
cast by NET on May 10 last
year. She now writes a syndi
cated United Features column,
“ Mannes Speaking,” which
appears in many U.S.news
papers.
