This month marks the 22nd
anniversary of Dianetics and
Scientology, an event which

throughout the world.
Scientology, an eclectic re
ligion founded by American
philosopher L . Ron Hubbatd,
began in 1950 with the publica
tion of M r. Hubbard’ s book,
"D ianetics: The Modem Sci
ence of Mental Health." Dia
netics, now a sub-study of Sci
entology, provided a theory of
the workings of the mind and a
counseling technique based
upon the alleviation of stored
mental image pictures of mo
ments of pain and uncon
sciousness which could ad
versely affect the individual

Continuing with his re
search, M r. Hubbatd found
that there was a higher force
than the human mind which
governed the workings of
