YMCA drug
program
The YMCA Drug Alert Pro­
gram Is a program initiated by
the North Portland YMCA and Is
a two-told attempt at drug In­
formation. The first of the pro­
gram Is to Inform parents of
grade school and J r. high school
children about drugs and to be
aware of the symptoms of drug
users. This we hope to accom­
plish through small group meet­
ings and the ability to develop
a sense of faith hi the Y's sin­
cerity in disseminating infor­
mation on drugs. The second
part of the Drug Alert Program
w ill be to use form er drug ad­
dicts who are honestly trying to
rehabilitate themselves and to
have these drug addicts feel that
society cares tor addicts them­
selves by training these people
