companied by two brass bands. Sec
retary Speers of the laundry asso
ciation led the procession in the
side-car of a motorcycle.
"Visit-the-laundry week" is not
a local affair. It is sponsored by the
National Laundry association and
-an open week in laundries all over
the country is scheduled simultane
ously. The object is to have every person
in the city visit his own laundry
and inspect the processes and ma
' chinery and get an idea how the
thing is carried on. With general
interest of an intelligent kind it is
hoped that suggestions for improve
ment and innovation will be" forth
coming and a universal elevation of
laundering standards result.
The visitors will receive every
courtesy from the laundry employes
and special guides will be on hand
to demonstrate and explain the vari
ous processes of modern launder
ing. Publishing Company Elects.
