Dan Cupid was quite groggy last night at the close of his daily battle with Multnomah county divorce courts. Against nine new divorce cases filed in the- circuit court and 22 default decrees handed warring couples the little chap could muster up 'but three marriage licenses. In a new suit filed, Michael Hintz accused Margaret Hintz of breaking up their 'home and scattering their children. Since their marriage in 104, Hintz complains that his wife twice has left him to live as the wife of. other men, once as Mrs. Joe Rule of Lents and the other time as Mrs. William Witall of Camas, Wash. Of the children, Julia, 16, is at the state school for girls, Grand Mound, Wash.; Anita, 14, with a family in Wenatchee, Wash.; Minnie, 11, in a Seattle "child farm"; Mary, 15, Alice, IK and Michael, 7, with the husband, 4520 Fifty-ninth street Southeast, Portland. The plaintiff avers that his wife is at present an inmate of the Cedars. Attempt to Kldnnp Reported. Telegraphic dispatches from Seat tle yesterday reported that Hintz was in trouble with the authorities in that city by reason of an attempt to kid nap his daughter Minnie from the "child farm" where she had been placed by a King county court. Other divorce actions filed with County Clerk Beveridge were: Paul against Alice Ruhl, Richard A. against Etta Marion David, Edith against Ar thur S. Robinson, Maude M. against Wells M. Tooley, Marie L. against Al fred T. Patch, Millie against John Kentta, Theresa L. against George W. i'oote and Fern against Thomas C. Nye, A written confession by Mrs. Violet R. Gorsline, admitting improper rela tions with other men while her hus band, Walter L. Gorsline, was on night duty as a clerk in the local postoffice, was offered in evidence in the court of Circuit Judge Tazwell yesterday in the divorce action brought by the husband. Savings Used on Tour. Through an interpreter, Annie Tro fimenko told Judge Tazwell that her husband, W. Trofimenko, took their savings of years, amounting to about $3000, and with one son toured the continent of Kurope a little over a year ago, leaving her and six other children destitute. He traveled through Russia, Germany. France and Italy, later going to Mexico and re turning to Portland with the son. whom he left here and continued on his wandering way with the assertion that his wife never would see him hgain. it was testified. The homes already under construction will cost in the neighborhood' of $400,000, and many more are expected to be started within the next three months.
