At the Merchants Exchange hard white bids were unchanged at $1.32, but all ether grades were 2 cents higher than Tuesday. Eastern yellow corn was $1 higher on bid. No change was made in oats o barley. Millers announced an advance of $1 i ton on millrun. effective this morning. T per cent versus 88.6 per cent a month ago; Indicated production 509,000,000 bushels versus 657,000,000 bushels on May L The heavy loss is in the southwest, but some decline tn condition Is reported from all Important districts. PRINT BUTTER TWO CENTS HIGHER Better Price AN Offered for Cube; Eggs Tend t pward. Print butter prices were advanced 2 cents yesterday morning to the 32-cent basis. Not all the creameries followed the advance, but they are expected to be In line today. The buying price of butter fat was raised 1 cent to 26 cents for No. 1 grade. The advance in prints naturally trengthened cubes and buyers offered 26 u 6 27 cents for extras. Eggs were firmer, with some buyers offering 19 centa delivered to country ship pers, while others were still quoting 18 cents. Local jobbing prices were not ma terially changed. Poultry receipts were liberal and the market was weak and tend in r Country dressed meats were steady. Eggs Lighter on Leading Markets. Egg receipts are lighter on the leading markets and some advance Is noted in quoted prices for fine grading stock. To bring best prices, eggs should be gathered daily, held In a coo! place and marketed frequently, says the Weekly Produce Re view of Swift & Co.. of Chicago. Cream has been received In larger quan tities during the week, but prices for but ter have been well sustained. Poultry Is moving from the farms in larger quantities and prices are generally lower on the consuming markete and In producing sections. Bank Clearings. The market for coffee futures was lower today under liquidation of old long accounts in the ab sence of any important demand. Reports of rallies in the primary markets and rumored private cables that Importers here would have to raise their bids to secure coffee from Brazilian shippers, evidently failed to make any impression on senti ment, as closing prices were within 2 to 8 points of the lowest. The market opened at a decline of 5 to 13 points and sold 14 to 17 points net lower on active months with September touching 6.61c and closing at 6.64c bid. Rails Derive Little Benefit From Wage Reduction; Liberty Bonds lower, Victory Xotes Firm. NBW YORK, Juna i- Shares of rec ognized value were relatively steady in the stock market today, bat speculative Issues recorded additional losses. Increased depression in essential in dustries, notably steel and motor, was marked by further curtailment of opera tions, lower price schedules and more re adjustment of dividends. Food specialties, such as sugars, were heavy. In the list as a whole, gains and losses were confusingly mixed at the irreg ular close. Sales were 675,000 shares. Transportation stocks derived little or no benefit from the cut in wages. Trades were expected to hold aloof from the rail road division pending action regarding freight rates by the interstate commerce commission. Fluctuations In the money market fol lowed the recent set course, loans opening at 7 per cent and rising to IVi per cent in response to the usual belated demand. Time funds and commercial paper rates were unchanged. The foreign exchange market was strong. Sterling rallied 4 cents from its recent low and continental rates advanced 6 to 35 points, the Dutch rate showing especial Improvement. A new low record of 86.84 for liberty 3s featured the . bond market Other liberties were mostly lower, but victory notes strengthened. Domestic issues as a whole were irregular with leading inter nationals. Totals sales, par value, $9,850,000.' CLOSING STOCK QUOTATIONS.
