Meusel Connects for Home Run for Third Time In Three Con secutive Games. Matchmaker Evans of the Portland boxing commission has Leach Cross signed to box here on any date he may elect, but what is worrying Evans is getting an opponent for Cross. The famous New York light weight upset all the dope in Los An egles recently when he registered a successful comeback and gave Chet Neff one of .the worst lacings of his career. According to versions of the bout as recorded in the Los Angeles dailies. Cross showed plenty of his old-time form and cut Neff to ribbons from the first to the fourth rounds. Classy lightweights in this neck of the woods are scarce. In fact there isn't a 135-pounder here who would figure at all with Leach. Evans had been figuring in using Bobby Harper. but Harper is laying off for a month cr so. About the only other prospect is Earl France, and he is in Missoula, Mont., where he will box Muff Bron- son 15 rounds April 26. ' Dave Shade will fight the most Im portant bout of his career in Tacoma tonight when he faces Travie Davis, undisputed welterweight champion of tne acmc coast. Davis is not any local" champ. The manufacturer of your automobile recommends, in the Instruction Book for your car, that the crank case be drained out and flushed and then refilled with fresh oil at regular intervals. This is necessary because engine operation causes a steady accumulation of road dust, carbon, fine metal particles and other impurities in the crankcase oil. This gritty oil circulates through your engine, impairs its performance and ultimately leads to rapid depreciation and repairs. But cleaning the crankcase is a job generally disliked and neglected. To meet this need, Modern Crankcaw Cleaning Ser vice has been established by first-class garages and other dealers co-operating with the Standard Oil Com pany. These garages and dealers use Calol Flushing Oil, the scientific agent that cleans out old oil, dirt, grit and other impurities, and does not impair the lubri cating efficiency of fresh oil used. The cleaned crank case is refilled with the correct grade of Zerolene. Look for the garage or dealer displaying the sign shown below it means "Better operation and longer engine life" STANDARD OIL COMPANY (California) Wastina Club In Finals.
