Four constables were fired upon at Tralee last night and two slightly wounded. At mid night military stores and wagons at the Tralee station were burned. There was much firing by the military and police. The office of a newspaper was destroyed by fire. Dublin castle today issued an offi cial report that 65 prisoners in Cork prison had been on a hunger strike since August 11. BELFAST, Aug. 15. (By the Asso ciated Press.) Disorders were re newed over the week end, the most serious being a fight early .Saturday tor possession of a military airplane, which having left Ferraoy, with dis patches, was forced to land Friday night between Killarney and Tralee. Official accounts said one soldier was killed, that four of those who at tacked the plane were killed and three attackers were wounded. The plane had been left under a military guard. A large band of Sinn Feiners opened fire, which the soldiers returned. The battle lasted three hours before the raiders were driven off. Another outbreak was reported from Londonderry, serious results being prevented by police intervention. Sat urday night there was much lndis criminate revolver firing here and at tacks on pedestrians. Soldiers searched Sinn Feiners for arms and cleared the streets. General Algood. who assumed command in northwest Ulster, ordered four bat talions strung out as far as Sllgo. LIMERICK. Aug. 15. There was serious street fighting and other dis orders here this afternoon. Constable Anthen was shot dead but townspeo ple said he was killed accidentally by a comrade. The outbreak began with an attack on two detectives by the peopled party. CORK, Ireland, Aug. 15. Terrence MacSweeney, lord mayor, and 10 men arrested with him Thursday night. have refused food since placed in military barracks and have been Joined In their hunger strike by other prisoners. The lord mayor of Cork, Terrenes MacSweeney and other members of the corporation will be tried on the charge of sedition, said a statement today. IRISH DECISIOX IS FORECAST lion a r Law Expected to Make Pol' icy Statement Today. LONDON, Aug. 15. Andrew Bonar Law, government spokesman, Is ex pected to make a statement on the government's Irish policy In the house of commons Monday, according to Dublin dispatch to the London Times Hope was expressed there, added the dispatch, that it would be a mes sage of peace, carrying with It the consent of the government of the Irish demands for self-government. These reports enamating from Dublin were received with skepticism. There was no official confirmation of this, and the Irish office declared It knew nothing about It. Dublin etill insisted that E. Wylie, legal adviser to the lord lieutenant of Ireland, had decided to resign, tout delayed comment on the infor mation that Mr. Bonar Law would make a statement. Cal., T. V. FLASH. Aug. 15. (Special.) T. F. Flash, SAN DIEGO, mate on the U. S. S. Prairie, who has confessed to giving his second wife, Edna May Flash, the poison pellet which caused; her death, now is under investigation concerning the death of his first wife, who, he declares, was killed under the wheels of a train. Flash has been formally charged with the poison-pill crime and his whole record has been made the subject of an investigation that is still proceeding. In his confession to the San Diego police. Flash, gave no sufficient mo tive for the crime, except that he said that he and Mrs. Flash quarreled because she was addicted to the use of drugs. The police suspect that Flash planned to clear the way so he would be free to pay attentions to 16-year-old Gladys Fox of San Francisco, who was found with him when he was arrested. DUBLIN, Aug. 15. Henry Harrison, secretary of the Irish dominion home rule league, has received letters from moderate men throughout the country Including Ulster, Indorsing the league's suggestion that a conference be held to endeavor to settle the Irish problem. They come from men of all parties, Including Catholic and Protestant clergymen. Reports of reprisals by police and soldiers which it is feared will fur ther arouse the people, are greatly exercising the moderates. Internal Revenues Increased An nually From $700,000 to $3,500, 000, Says Rear Admiral. WASHINGTON, Aug. 15. The mili tary government established in San Domingo by the United States has started the island republic toward prosperity and successful self-government, according to a report to the government, Rear-Admiral Sno-wden made public today. "The military government has set th country an unassailable example free from graft, giving a square deal to all and an administration above reproach," hie reported. Internal revenue collections have Increased from $700,000 annually be fore the occupation to approximately $3,500,000 last year, with prospects of a million dollars more this year, the summary said. Certain taxs bearing heavily on the poor have been elim inated and tax on property substi tuted. The floating debt has been liquidat ed and indications are that the $2,000,000 loan of 1918 will be paid off by 1925, more than 30 years before maturity, the government reported. Much graft, dishonesty and ineffi ciency In government offices have been eliminated and the money saved has gone toward building schools, roads, public buildings, port improvements and sanitary arrangements, the re port said. Services In the Russian orthodox cathedral of St. Nicholas were Interrupted today by -what church dignitaries charged was a bolshevlst attempt to precipitate a riot. Archbishop Alexander was ad ministering communion when shouts broke out in the rear. A police guard was stationed at the cathedral today as a result of warn ings that bolshevist sympathizers planned to break up the services. Five alleged rioters were escorted from the church by the congregation. Position on Po land to Be Made Public. WASHINGTON, Aug. 15. The French rejoinder to the note defining the United States position on Poland and the soviet has reached the state department, it was announced to night. It was thought probable the docu ment would be made public this week. Officials refused to comment on the note or to disclose its purport. Auto Hit by Streetcar. An automobile . driven by R. W. A - telegram from London states that Premier Lloyd George will arrive at Lucerne Wednesday but that his departure depends on the Polish situation. Owing to a report of a plot against him, Swiss authorities are taking ex traordinary measures to protect him. Xegress, 17, Is Arrested. Bernice Gazan, a negress, 17, was taken into custody last night by op eratives from the women's protective bureau and held, pending examina tion of her mental condition. She was said to have thrown rocks at her mother's door because Mrs. Gazan would not take her to church. Fire Guts Cafe. CHEHALIS. Wash., Aug. 15. (Spe cial.) Fire at 2 o'clock this morning gutted the White cafe on Market street, owned by O. V. Farrell. The blaze Is thought to have been caused by mice setting matches afire.
