The condition of all grains is considered favorable, although short acreage is saill being mentioned. Spain Weather has been altogether fav orable for crops; excessive raina have caused floods. The outlook is still generally good, but better weather is desired to maintain the condition of the wheat crop. Germany Fairly seasonable weather ac cording to Rome reports; crops are consid ered fair. Roumania Reports of agricultural con ditions in this country are very pessimistic. Italy A return of fine weather has fav ored crops. On the whole there have been no complaints regarding the new wheat crop, the condition of which is still average. NEW YORK, June 3. The speculative fabric, which professional interests have for weeks been weaving on the stock ex change was virtuafly torn to shreds today In a session which bordered on semi-demoralization at the close and during which more than 2.000,000 shares, changed hands. Illustrative of the violent fluctuations was the .movement in American Woolen, which after rising 19 points to 130, crumbled under forced selling to 110. Opening irregularly the market soon re lapsed to the extent of 5 to 6 points in certain Issues as the result of active realis ing, professional selling and apprehension as to the money outlook. The downward movement was subsequently checked through the aggressive operations of strong pools. On the rebound there were recoveries ranging up to ten points in various special ties. Standard rails were under rather constant pressure throughout the session. Later the money situation became the dominant factory, call loans rising to 11 per cent, which brought a deluge of stocks on the market, both for the long and short account, under which prices gave way in precipitate fashion. Foremost In the slump were Mexican Pe troleum, Studcbaker, American International Corporation, United States Alcohol. Atlantic Gulf & West Indies and General Motors. United States Steel broke from 109 7- to 100 4. Sales amounted to 2.2OU.000 shares. Bunds also showed reactionary tendencies, with the liberty Issues Included as welL Total sales (par value) aggregated $14,00O, 000. Old United States bonds were un changed on call.
