Cranberry Growers Will Quadruple
Last Season's Output.
ILWACO. Wash., July 11. (Special.)
The Pacific Cranberry Growers' Ex

Cranberry Growers' Associations of
Washington and Oregon, met here on
Monday, June 8, and elected the follow
ing officers: President. K. M. Hulden;
vice-president. W. F. Schimpff; secre

The associations in the exchange and
their representatives, are the Washing
ton Cranberry Growers' Association
Lee W. Paul; Columbia River Cranberry
Growers' Association, K. M. Hulden;
Clatsop Cranberry Growers Associa
tion, W. F. Schimpff, and the Portland-
Seaview Cranberry Association, W. -W,
Hardlnger. The function of the ex
change is to sell the berries for the
associations, and Its policy is to deal
with the associations and not with in
dividual growers.
At the rneeting here. D. Walter Will
iams, of this city, was appointed gen
eral sales manager.
The returns of the last year result.
lng from the operation of the exchange
were highly satisfactory, and judged
by the present outlook this year's re
suits will be equally satisfactory.
Last year the exchange handled an
proximately 7000 boxes of cranberries.
and a fair estimate at this time, in
crease in acreage and in production
considered, places this year's output at
about 30,000 boxes.
