That Harry Ding and Louie Danr. prominent Blng Kung tongmen. were paid $7000 each to "frame up evi dence against him and other officers of the allied Buey Sing and Hop Sing tongs In order to bring about murder Indictments was the testimony offered yesterday by Chin Jung Hlu, on trial for complicity In the murder of Chin Hong, prominent and wealthy Blng Kung leader, who waa slain June 2 last. The defendant, under direct and crone-examination, made a sweeping denial that he or any other of his fellow tongmen attendad any "mur der meeting." at which the murder of Chin Hong was planned, on the night of May 28 last. He asserted that all the testimony regarding this meeting which has been gleen by Wong Wan and Chin Gee Hoy. Chinese inform ants, waa manufactured by Harry Ding and Louie Dang. In explaining the alleged plot hatched and successfully prosecuted by Harry Ding and Louie Dang, the aerennant said he had been Informed of this scheme by members of the Blng Kung tong. of which these two Chinese were members. He refused, however, to give the names of his Informants, declar ing that to do ao would without doubt result In the renewal of a tong war. Further testimony tending te sup port th contention of a "frame-up" which has been advanced by the de fense throughout the trial, was given by Mrs. Horn Bon Chung, wife of a Chinese who waa alleged to have at tended th "murder meeting." She tes tified she waa living with her hus band at Vancouver. B. C. at the time the meeting la alleged to have been held. Exaalalaa Stary Refuted. Wong See Too. secretary of the Suey Sing tong In 1911, Identified the rec ords of the tong. wherein It was shown that Chin Gee Hoy had been expelled from th tong. Chin Gee Hoy asserts that he is still a member of the Suey Sing tong and as such attended the "murder meeting as one of the se lected gunmen. It waa upon hla testi mony, aa well aa that of Wong Wan. that the Indictments were returned against th defendant and other offi cer and member of the Hop Sing and Suey Sing tongs.
