Runner May Go Back..
NEWBERG. Or., Feb. 20. (To the
Sporting Editor.) I would like to have
you answer this question: A runner Is
on second base and one on third and
the pitcher has the ball. The runner
on second does not see the one on third
and starts to steal. The pitcher throws
the ball to third and the man on third
then tries to go home and the "third
baseman throws the ball to the catcher,
who stands on the plate with the ball.
After the runner coming from third
sees that the catcher has the ball, he
starts back to third and the runner
from second, after touching third gets
back to second safely. May they do
this? ,

Ed Hagen will be back on the force
in two weeks, according to Romeo.
Romeo is 25 years old, and has been
boxing for six years. He fought Billy

and lost a close four-round newspaper
decision. He met Weeks a little later
over the 20-round route, and again lost
