She Is gifted in a dramatic way and has a charming personality. Mrs. Cora Puffer, a member of the Woman's Club, one of the most popu lar of clubwomen, has unusual talent. Many of Portland's prominent women are interested In the banquet that will be held on or about February 14 under the auspices of the Sons and Daughters of Oregon Pioneers. The Woman's Civic Welfare Club will meet tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock In room- K, Central Library, for a discussion on "Self-iXelp as Reforma tion and Solution to the Unemployed Problem. The meeting is public. Central W. C. T. V. will be addressed today by Will H. 'Warren, secretary to Mayor Albee. The meeting will be held s.t 3 o'clock at 17U4 Kleventh street Miss Frances Gotschall will give the musical programme. Mrs. Lottie Mur ray will lead the praise service. At the T. W. C. A. vesper service Mrs. Robert H. Tate gave an interest ing talk to SO or more girls. She told whrt was being done in all parts of the world to educate people to a higher appreciation of child life. There will be a baby test at the parents' educational bureau in the Court House today. Mrs. Welster is state chairman for arf for the Oregon Federation of Women's Clubs and recently has been chosen a member of the General Feder ation board in the department of art. Eighty guests enjoyed Mrs. R. M. Tuttle's lecture on art. given in Mrs. Welster's home Saturday night. Miss Ada Alice Tuttle provided the inciden tal and interpretative music. Mrs. Lola P. Staron. a member of the auxiliary of the United Spanish War Veterans, who returned from a visit to Toledo. O., after an absence of four months, is registered at the Hotel Carl ton. During her stay in Toledo, she attended the joint installation exer cises of the Spanish War Veterans and auxiliary. On account of conflicting dates the Hawthorne Buckman Parent-Teacher Association's joint meeting planned for Thursday night will be postponed and time of meeting will be announced later. The Portland Grade Teachers' AssO' ciation will meet today at 4:30 o'clock in the Library. This will be a business session. The Woman's Society of the First Presbyterian Church held an all-day meeting yesterday. Sewing for the needy, a luncheon for men and women at noon, a business session and a pro gramme occupied the day. Fordyce T. Richards spoke on censorship. He urged the people to take a stand, and create a sentiment for better pictures. The regular monthly meeting of the Oregon Graduate Nurses' Association will be held in the Public Library to day at 2:30 o'clock. Mrs. Grace Watt Ross will give an informal talk on par liamentary law and Captain Speier, harbor master, will give a demonstra tion of the lung motor. a Mrs. John Fellerman entertained the Portland Study Club Monday.
