In Xatlonal Tournament.
Chiefly through the wonderful shoot
Ins of George V. Wilson, the Portland
Revolver Club last night hung up. a
score of 1131. which tied the highest
mark of the season, made against San
Francisco two weeks ago. The match
3ust night was No. 11 of a series Bhot
In the National Revolver Association
Tournament. Portland's opponents will
not be known until their scores are re
ceived. George Wilson made a "possible", in
the second target and followed that
up-with 49 in the last target, after he
had made a similar score on the first
sheet of the night.
Wilson also made the team for
Match No. 12. On the first team he
scored 235 for the five targets. His
second shooting brought 226.
I K. Evans made both teams. In
the first match he came near making
a "possible," placing but one Bhot off
the black spot. This shot was so close
to the line that it took a microscope
to rob him of the "possible."
Captain Moore and W. H. Hubbard
also made both teams and the fifth
places went to Walter Hansen In one
shoot and to H. H. Craddock in the
ether.

Gresham Factory to Turn Out Cars

GRESHAM. Or., Jan. 20. (Special.)
Frank McCrlllis. who has taken the
most active part In promoting the
Beaver State Motor Company, is au
thority for. the announcement that
work will start on the erection of the
first unit here soon. Mr. McCrillis said
that the live acre site secured is suit
able for the factory.
He announced that the contract has
been let and the building will be
rushed to completion.
Mr. McCrillis stated that It Is the
expectation of the management to have
automobiles completed this Spring.
The people of Gresham pledged $25,
000 toward the erection of the plant.

ABERDEEN, wish.. Jan. 20. (Spe
cial.) A new logginjf camp is opening
on the Upper Chehalis River and will
employ 80 men and necessitate the in
vestment of a capital of $25,000. ' The
new enterprise is controlled by the
Schaefer Brothers, prominent Grays
Harbor loggers. They say that their
timber land contains 200,000,000 feet of
timber and that It will take 10 years
to cut the supply.
By the end of the week every logging
camp and sawmill on the harbor will
be in 'operation. Local lumbermen say
that times are rapidly becoming bet
ter. The lumber business has been
Quiet for the past seven years.
