Tunell Threatened Death So Husband and Daughter Could 'Go to Heaven With Her.' CORVALX.IS. Or., June 23. (Special.) , Shortly before noon today Mrs. K. H. Tunell, '626 North Fifteenth .street, In a fit of temporary Insanity, shot her 18-year-old daughter In the breast, her husband through the right lung and flrpd two bullets into, her own heart. The woman lies aT fhe city morgue, while the daughter, Beatrice Vancamp, nd husband are at the Corvallls Hos pital with some chance ot recovery. The girl was shot above the right breast, the bullet striking a rib and deflecting through the body. She was 111 and in bed at the time, and the muzzle of the revolver was pressed so close to the flesh that she was badly powder burned. Mr. Tunell was shot while- in the yard, the insane woman noticing him as she came downstairs from the room where she had just shot her daughter. But one shot was fired at Tunell, this striking him in the upper right-lung and passing through the bodv. He turned and ran to a neighbor and gave the alarm. When officials arrived at the Tunell home they found Mrs. Tunell dead In the yard, two bullets having passed through her body Just above the heart. The Tuneljs had came to Corvallls from- a North Dakota town less than a year ago. Mrs. Tunell was a hand 6ome woman of about 45 years of age and since her arrival here had seemed .eccentric. In recent days she . had given evidence of mental abbcration and on Sunday had Bald that she would kill her family that they might go to heaven with her. The firearms were secreted, but were found today and the tragedy of today is the result. Late tonight Mr. Tunell was in a critical condition and there is grave doubt of his recovery. Miss Vancamp's chance for recovery is good at this time. DAILY CITY STATISTICS y SoTjuriasre Licenses. , AUNE-ANDERPON O. C. Aune, city, 27. and Serine Anderson, 23. DAVIE3-CROMBIS John c.
