Since Friday the athietlc iield. which up to that time was as busy every afternoon as a city street at '"closing time." has been absolutely deserted, and thereby l:an;s a tale. In fact, not again this ieason will the Beaver track men be seen running through the quarter mlie rang! which surrounds a lob-lolly, which, through courtesy to the great American game, has thus far this Spring been called a baseball Held, and in wi.ich. instead of on which. Coach Garrett for the last two weeks has permitted his baseball proteges to wear the newness off their 1S13 suits. The real signltlcance of the deserted athletic Held is that the best interests of the Spring sports have demanded a teuiporury shifting of the scene of action and for the remainder of the school year all local interclass and in tercollegiate athletic contests will be stiiced on the lower campus. Work on the field began yesterday, when stiiilents of the engineering school 'aid off ti.e baseball diamond and the running track estimated that two weeks wrtf be required for the work, but It will be pushed to com pletion as rapidly as possible in order that Coach Garrett and rr. Stewart may round their teams Into shape be fore the intercollegiate baseball and tra.'k schedules begin. WKUAGES AT SHOOT ARE HIGH M. Aliraham Brenks Kenton Club's Season Ileoord.
