Soulh Mount Tabor Committee Confer With Off IcU! -Report of Llnea Awaited. Committees from South Mount Tabor har been conferring with F. I. Fuller, of the Portland Hallway, Light A Power Company, and also with offi cial of the Mount Hood Railway A Power Compacjr for the put few days ia reg-ard to the proposed railroad ex. tension through that district. One of the condlttons of the Portland Railway. Llfht Power Company In Its offer to operate an extension la that the property-owners shall build the track and guarantee the payment of f300 a month Income to the car operated over the extension. To this guaranty the property-owners have objected, although one day's count of passengers arriving acd departing at the end of the Haw. tnorne-avenue line showed that the In- come will be about 1700 a month on the extension. Mr. Fuller was Inclined to grant the request to drop the guaranty, but to ascertain for himself what the pros pective Income of the extension might be, he has been having a count kept at Eart Sixtieth and Division streets of passengers who get on and leave the car at that point. If the Portland Hallway. Light A Power Company builds the extension according to the offer to the property-owners. It win be built to East Seventy-first street on a route not yet selected. - Another committee made up of Dr. Hamilton Meade. Edward Peterson. William Bloom. James Kennard. J. A. I tend. George li. Hoot and J. W. Kaste held a conference with the officials of the Mount Hood Hallway Power Com pany concerning the construction of a line running from Russellvllle to the llawtborne-avenue line, a distance of three and one-tenth miles. The com pany agreed to make an examination of the territory and routes and report latrr as to what It will do. The property-owners are divided aa to the route wanted. The largest sub scribers have slsned In favor of Twenty-ninth avenue. A freneral meeting will be held aa soon as the two rail way companies make their proposals. riLXS Ct'RKO IN TO 14 OATS. The receipt of a telephone message yesterday from J. P. O'Brien, general manager of the 0.-W. R. A N. Company, to the effect that the new railroad bridge will not be ready for traffic till May IS. possibly not till June 1. probably will change the plans of the County Court whloh had announced that the preeent railroad bridge would be cloaed to vehicle trafno today. In view of the long wait In store It is probable that the County Commission ers will put a force of men at work repairing the worst placea In the deck ing of the preaent bridge, as It Is ad mitted that to be without the bridge till June would work a hardship on the public. The view previously taken by the County Court, when It was ex pected that the completion of the new bridge was a matter of a few weeks only, was that It would not pay to make the repairs. It costs the county $790 a month to operate the bridge, 1350 being the monthly rental paid the railway com pany and 1440 the cost of operating; the araw. in caae the bridge had been cloaed to vehicle trafno It was the in tention of the County Court to ask that the rental discontinue. In case of refusal the Commissioners had re solved to atop pedestrian trafno across the bridge also, and force the railway company to pay the expense of operat ing the draw. t The Portland Railway, Light & Power Company has a separate contract with the 0.-W. R. at N. Company, and as the streetcars would probably continue to run acroaa the bridge, drawtenders would have to be retained. If the cars ceased using the bridge the draw could be left open permanently. FOLEY KIDEY FILLS always give satisfaction because they always do the work. J. T. Shelnut. Bremen, Ga., says: "I have used Foley Kidney Pills with great satisfaction and found more relief from their use than any other kidney medicine, and I've tried almost all kinds. I can cheer fully recommend them to all sufferers for kidney and bladder trouble." Foiy Kidney Pills will cure any case of kid ney or bladder trouble not beyond the roach of medicine. No medicine can do more. Sold by all druggists. 01 SEN STOLIDLY DENIES CHINESE, HOWEVER, CONFI DENT SHE IS MURDERESS. much time in Portland. A guard has been placed over her at the Billing's jail to ensure that she will not commit suicide or be killed by some assassin. The police here believe that the Bil lings police have acted upon Informa tion from Chinese sources and that there can be no question about the woman being: the right one. Detective Day is due to arrive In Helena today, when he will lay his papers befoYe the Governor of Mon tana and request a warrant lor the woman's extradition. Officer Will Seek Extradition of Woman From Montana Today. Special Gnoxd Placed. Stubborn denial of identity as Oi Sen, alleged murderer of Eeld Bing, is made by a woman under arrest at Billings for the crime and for whose return here Detective Day Is now on his way to Billings. Police officers and Chinese here, however, maintain their confidence that there can be no mis take, basing their opinion upon the description of the woman and the papers In her possession, in the name of Oi Sen. These Include a receipt for the money paid for a revolver, known to have been bought here by OI Sen, and papers showing that OI Son pawned for (120 a ring which has been identified as the property of Seld Bing. The Billings woman, according to dispatches received yesterday, admits that she lived at Pendleton and passed SAGE TEA, USED BY OUR GRAND MOTHERS TO DARKEN THE HAIR Restores Gray Hair to Natural Color, Stops It From Coming Out and Makes It Grow. It is easier to preserve the color of the hair than to restore It, although It is possible to do both. Our grand mothers understood the secret. They made a "sage tea," and their dark, glossy hair long after middle life was due to this fact. Our mothers have gray hairs before they are fifty, but they are beginning to appreciate tne wisdom of our grandmothers in using "sage tea" for their hair and are fast following suit. The present generation has the ad vantage of the past in that it can get a ready-to-use preparation called Wyeth'a Sage and Sulphur Hair Remedy. As a scalp tonic and color restorer this preparation is vastly superior to tha ordinary "sago tea" made by our grand mothers. The growth and beauty of the hair depends, on a healthy condition of the scalp. Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Hair Remedy quickly kills the dandruff germs which rob the .hair of Its life, color and lustre, makes the scalp clean and healthy, gives the hair strength, color and beauty, and makes it grow.
