VanPlete, now at Tort Lawton. Is relieved of command of the Twenty-fifth regiment. No orders have yet been Issued assigning him elsewhere. Freight rates for Falls City, which are considered excessive at present, were also taken up at this meeting of the club. The Falls City Commercial Club started the movement for a ma terial reduction in the freight rates. The Dallas Commercial Club went on record as opposed to the freight rates prevailing between Salem, Dallas and Falls City and expressed its willing ness to aid In getting the matter before the Railroad Commission.
