Official telegrams re ceived from General Baron Oshima and Count Nogi have announced the success ful unveiling of the monument erected on the slopes of Antvushan. at Port Arthur, In memory of the Russian soldiers who fell there during the late war. The New Tork Central & Hudson River Railroad today declared the regular dividend of l'A per cent. Wrecked Train to Get Coal. ST. JOSEPH, Mo., June 10. Willie Barkst, aged 1 years, arrested last night, has confessed to the police that he turned the switch which wrecked a Burlington freight train. He said that he wanted to get some coal and planned the wreck In order to upset some of the cars, so he could get the fuel easier. He is being held In the county home to await trial. Crime of the Black Hand. HOBN'ELL, N. T., June 10. The home of Antonio Gemiarreto, a well-to-do Italian, was entered last night and his two children, a boy aged 8 years and a baby girl of IS months, together with fSO in cash, silverware and other valuables are missing. The trustees have Voted him eight months' leave of absence, and from authoritative sources it is said that he will never return to his former slace. Archbishop Is Assassinated. TIFL1S, June 10. Archbishop Nikon, formerly of Georgia, was assassinated by revolutionists this morning on the steps of the Synodical building. A monk who was in attendance upon the archbishop was severely wounded. The assassins emptied their revolvers into the body of the archbishop and escaped.
