Dotfictlve Hodgktns will no to 'Weavervllle to bring Mrs. Isabella Martin and "Baby John" to Oakland to face the charge of dynamit ing the house of Judge Ogden in this city a year ago. This step was decided upon at a conference between Sheriff Barnet, Chief of Police "Wilson and Captain of Detectives Peterson, when it was decided that every effort is to be made to get suf ficient evidence upon which to try the woman for the dynamiting if possible and to have Hodgklns go to Weavervllle and hear the story told by "Baby Jolin" from the lad himself. Should the case develop as they think it will. Hodgkins will bring the woman and child to Oakland to stand trial. Dis trict Attorney Hall, of Weavervllle, has announced his willingness to surrender Mrs. Martin if the case in Oakland is shown to be strong. He will drop the arson charge to have her tried on the charge upon which she may be Bent to jail for life if convicted. Banks Backed by Nation. COPENHAGEN, Feb. 13. C, Feb. 11 An act known as the assessment bill, which pro poses to relieve railways of taxation, was passed today and under its terms 400 miles of new railways, and it is also expected 500 miles of the Grand Trunk Pacific line. will be relieved of taxation for a terra of years to the extent of $90 per mile.
