Culp. chairman of the school board of directors, presided, and an nounced what was wanted. This includ ed that the schoolhouse would have to ho connected with the sewer Just com- pleted. There was some discussion as to whether 'the' district should build another schoolhouse in the north end of the district. T. J. Monahan opposed the erection of the second building on the grounds that it would bo expensive to operate two buildings at present. County School Superintendent R. F. Robinnon being present, addressed the meeting in behalf of the larger build ing and also for careful supervision of lights for the classrooms. The motion to erect the addition was carried. The addition will be built on the west side of the present structure. There will be two rooms on the lower floor for classrooms, and the assembly hall will he above. This will make the schoolhouse IS rooms, with an assembly hall, but will not do away with the two temporary rooms on the school grounds. Principal Alderson said that 16 rooms would be needed next year. It will be the last addition to the present school house, and the district will likely build at the north end of the territory, next year. Tho cost of the addition will be about $4000 and will be met by Issu ing warrants. On motion T. J. Monahan. K. C. Thurston and C. W. Potter were ap pointed an auditing committee for the district.
