Countv Judge Webster, Commission ers Lijehtnor and Barnes and Assessor Sigler met yesterday to pass upon about 2000 objections to assessments filed with the County Board of Equal ization, and the session will continue for about a . week. Fifty petitions were disposed of yesterday. In most instances the petitions -asking for a re duction of assessmentstvero dismissed, a nunber were marked withdrawn. The cases disposed of were all -small and the facts alleged had previously been Investigated by the Assessor or his deputies. Mistakes were corrected where proved. For example, two pe titioners alleged that Improvements had been assessed as completed which hud only been commenced on the date ior making the assessment, March 1.
