Thursday's session of court was conducted with the Judge occupying Clerk Hennessey's seat, . One by one the old traditions are be ing rudely broken In the Municipal Court. Yesterday another was shattered, when Deputy City Attorney announced that he would no longer stand for repeated con tinuances of cases, at the request of at torneys. "This practice will not go any more," said Mr. Fitzgerald, addressing Judge Cameron. "I have been continuing cases in this court for years, to suit at torneys, who seem to think that their convenience Is oil there Is to be looked after. They are badly mistaken, for there are divers Interests to be looked after, such as the policemen, who often sit here hour after hour and from day to day after performing duty on their beats; witnesses and others, who have rights that cannot and will not be longer Ignored here. Attorneys can set their own dates for hearings, but when the date arrives, unless something really Important tran spires to cause a continuance, cases will go to trial." Robert W.
