During the last 12 hours showers have oc
curred in the Willamette Valley and the
Sound Country and moderately heavy rain
Jsas fallen In Northeastern Washington.
The temperatures have fallen decidedly In
pregon. Eastern Washington and Idaho.
The Indications are for showers In this dis
trict Friday with slowly rising temperatures
west of the Cascade Mountains.

from Duluth state that, owing: to the
beavy rains, several Government dams
along the Upper Mississippi River have
overflowed, hundreds of acres of land are
Inundated, that several factories along
the river have been compelled to shut
tiown, and a large amount of damage has
been caused to the cities and villages
along the river.
