At a meeting of the "Women's North Pacific Presbyterian Board of Missions, held in the First Presbyterian Church yesterday afternoon. Rev. George F. Mc Afee, D. D., superintendent of Presby terian schools under the Board of Home Missions, was entertained and told the board something of the work now being carried on in Alaska. Dr. McAfee is a man of great prominence in Presbyterian mission work, and the North Pacific Board felt that it was very fortunate In being able to secure a visit from him. His headquarters are In New Tork, and he has been on a tour of inspection to various schools In the Northwest which are conducted under the auspices of the Home Mis sion. In these schools young people of both sexes are trained to meet the -conditions surrounding, them and among which they have to live. The teachers In these schools live among the natives and endeavor to influence parents in the education and Christian training of their children. It was on this work that Dr. McAfee addressed the meet ing yesterday. "Women avoid suffering by using Parker's Ginger Tonic, as It Is adapted to their ills. Parker's Hair Balsam aids the hair growth.
