A "Cheap John" dealer in trash of
the most worthless sort tried to catch
a few unwary buyers the other day,
by offering in competition with an ad
vertised special of this Quality Store
a 9-4 size, single-texture sheet of
cheapest grade at Sc each less than we e
advertised and sold a 10-4 size of onr o
famous "ECONOMY SHEETS,"
which have reinforced centers, that
increase their wearing quality to
double and lessens the tendency to,
wear thin and tear before the sides
are worn out. We are sole agents for
Portland for their sale. As in other
cases, the makers of these famous
sheets came to us Portland's lead
ing store to introduce their wares-
sheets that for economy and durability have no equal in the world.
And we have sole agency. It was this store that first sold ready-to-use
sheets in Portland. The 9-4 sheet our imitators substituted
for our 10-4 size sheet which they termed an "out size" "out"
to them, for nothing but skimped sizes in everything "goes" at
