Stories of the war In the Far East have caused an out break among the Inmates of the Morris Plains Insane Asylum near Morrlstown, N, J. Half a dozen lunatics who bad en gaged In a long controversy, finally made a break for liberty. They crossed Speed well River and hastily threw up a small fort of timbers on the top of a bill. At tendants attempted to carry the works, but were mot by volleys of stones and beat a hasty retreat. For three hours the fort held out. Then a truce was ar ranged and the commander of the garri son agreed to a "parley as escape was Impossible. the keepers was held under the white flag on a big flat stone In the middle of the river. DULUTH, Minn., June 22. The Hearst forces captured the temporary organiza tion of the State Democratic Convention for the selection of National delegates to day. The anti-Hearst men secured three of the four delegates at large and will get an even break on the district delegates. The delegates elected are John Llnd, of Minneapolis; L. A. Dossing, of Canon Falls; H. L. Buck, of Winona, and C. D, O'Brien, of St. Paul. The delegates are unlnstructed. The resolutions declare for a reafflrma tlon of Kansas City platform and laud William J. Bryan as the greatest Demo cratic statesman of the day. tlons are Bryan supporters. The Dem ocrats of Vermont at their State Cqnven tlon today declined to Instruct the dele gates to the National Convention to vote for the nomination of Judge Parker for President, but just before adjournment a motion was adopted giving expression to the opinion that Judge Parker was the. most available candidate. The delegates were Instructed to act as a unit on all questions. The Denver St RIo aranae will run a series of special personally conducted ex cursions to St. Louis during the World's Fair.
