U WEATHER CONDITIONS.
he weather in the North Pacific States con
tinues cold, and In the Willamette Valley and
Sound country there has been a light fall ot
snow, averaging between two and three inches.
There lias alo bean a light lall of snow in
the coast counties of Washington and Oregon,
and It Is quite likely that It was much heavier
In the mountains. There Is no disturbance in
pressure to account for this snow, and it Is
probably due to local conditions In moisture
and temperature.
The indications are for slowly moderating
temperatures In this district Monday, with
possibly light falls of snow In Washington and
Northern Oregon, and light rain or bnow in
Southern Oregon.

land, of Indianapolis, and J. Swelnhardt,
of Iake, O., were married today at Pet
ersburg. They are midgets, and their
courtship was conducted by mall. Miss
Holland, who Is 20 years old, Is a music
teacher. She Is but four feet high. Her
husband is 21, the son of a farmer near
"Washington, and is Ave Inches taller than
his bride. They became acquainted
through a matrimonial agency, and did
not meet until yesterday, when they im
mediately fell In love.
